Fundraising Activities & Events

Fundraising is an integral part of the success of our organisation.  The funds raised through a variety of activities ranging from tag days, auctions, merchandise sales and more supplement the expenses for cross country and international trips, new equipment and boat repair, food for special events, sailing and canoe training courses, band instruments, bus transport to special events and parades, and much more!   Every dollar raised by the Ottawa Branch ensures that our cadets will have the appropriate equipment to enhance their cadet experiences.

Tag Days

Since the Branch lost the income from our weekly bingo event two years ago, the primary source of funding to support our two corps has been Tag Days.  This event requires a huge amount of planning and logistical coordination which is done by dedicated volunteers.  On the day of the event however, we always are in need of additional drivers to take cadets to and from their collection points, which could be almost anywhere in the city.  If you are a cadet parent, and you would like to help out in some way, there is nothing better you can do than to volunteer on Tag Day.  Come early and look for one of the Branch coordinators.  They will provide you with all the information you need to do a great job in support of our young people.
