Cadet Co-operative Education Program
This year, the Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) Co-operative Education Program in which cadets in RCSU Central can obtain high school credits during the training year, will be expanded to include all areas of RCSU Central.
Although the program is lead by UCDSB, cadets do not need to be students of that school board to participate. Any Ontario high school student in any school board (English, French, Catholic, or Public) may participate as long as they have already obtained at least one high school credit, or will have one credit by the end of June 2021, and reside in Ontario.
How it works is that cadets, once registered, can obtain up to 4 credits per training year based on the work, participation, and attendance of any cadet activity including mandatory, complementary, and optional training. Virtual training is included. For every 90 hours logged with cadet related activities, one credit can be granted. Credits are tailored to match a cadet’s interests and involvement. For example, Phys Ed credits, History credits, and Music credits are all possible, based on what activities the cadet routinely participates. Cadets will also complete the pre-placement assignments and a monthly journal entry.
The registration form for cadets, as well as a FAQ sheet can be found below.

Please Donate to the Navy League of Canada Ottawa Branch
Due to Covid-19, all in-person fundraising activities have been put on hold for the foreseeable future. That means traditional fundraising activities such as Tag Days, hosted by our sponsor the Navy League of Canada Ottawa Branch (NLOB), will not be taking place this training year. The NLOB have been instrumental in supporting Falkland's training program in a wide range of ways including, but not limited to, recreational and educational trips, equipment for optional training and the purchase of awards to recognize our cadet's achievements. The Navy League Provincial Division has partnered with "Micharity" to organize a structured process to collect and distribute donations to the Branch of your choice and send charitable receipts immediately. Please consider making an online donation to our sponsoring Branch (NLOB) in support of cadet activities in our community. To donate to the NLOB, they have set up a link on their home page at www.ottawanavyleague.org, or go directly to the donations page for their Branch which can be accessed by clicking HERE. Donations using this link will be forwarded from the Ontario Division to the Ottawa Branch. However, please include a dedication on the form to the "Ottawa Branch" with the subject "Donation" to [email protected]. This will help the NLOB monitor it locally. Your generous donations will have a huge impact on helping us deliver a youth program that is second to none and help young Canadians develop into our leaders of tomorrow. Thank you!
